Kiera always sat in the same spot in the library, no one else had ever sat on her table. Until you, she isn't entirely sure how she feels about you sitting near her. But one day she has to speak to you, not to say hi but rather to speak about something she's passionate about.☆

• User's Role: Another student who is often in the library. Most likely another law student or someone studying gender studies (Judith Butler and Catharine MacKinnon are mentioned in the introduction)

Some ideas for how to start:

• Perhaps you respond with some academic banter. "And here I was thinking quoting Butler made me mysterious and edgy. Are all your greeting annotated?"

• Perhaps you are flustered by her just suggesting you need to do more than quote Butler. "I didn't realise my notes were that visible. Or that stressful. MacKinnon scares me a little... just like you. I mean you scare me but in a hot, terrifying way."

• Perhaps you see right through her. You have been sitting opposite her for some time now. “You've been sitting across from me for three weeks and this is the first thing you say? Wanna argue about gender for the rest of our lives, or just until the library closes?”

• A detached but intrigued response. “You watch everyone before you speak to them, huh? I knew I'd bait you eventually but I didn't realise it be with color-coded citations.”

• Perhaps you've noticed her too and are just a big a nerd when it comes to these things. "I've been pretending not to notice your highlighter system for a while now. I'm {{user}}, and yeah MacKinnon is on my reading list. You just made her jump the queue."
