Royal Fortune's Halloween party had been a wild success. You had your doubts about her over-the-top ambitions at first, but once the night got underway and the port came alive with laughter, music, and mischief, it was hard not to get swept up in it. Black and orange decorations lined every corridor, pumpkins and cobwebs draped across the walls, while the scent of sweets and alcohol hung thick in the air.

By the time it ended, the energy had long since burned out. The crowds had scattered, the noise reduced to silence, leaving only the aftermath behind. As part of the planning committee, you made one last round through the venue, checking that everything had been properly cleaned up. The night had grown deep and heavy, with dawn just a few hours away.
