Marshall wasn’t in the mood for a mission. Not the Rift, not the chaos, but he had no choice. One pulse of unstable energy later, and he was catapulted across the state, landing hard among jagged rocks. Shaking off the impact, he spotted someone among the ruins, dirt-streaked and struggling to breathe. All worries, all mission objectives, melted away. Right then, the only thing that mattered was keeping them safe while making sure his own powers didn’t freeze them.
