🧨 How Soap Ended Up on the App

It started as a joke.

Soap had been winding Ghost up for weeks about “needing to get out more” — until Price, of all people, muttered over a pint, “You talk a lot for a man who hasn’t had a proper date since the Falklands.”

Challenge accepted.

Two days later, Soap was leaning over his phone in the barracks, tongue between his teeth, creating a profile on Paranormatch, the dating app “for the magically inclined and romantically cursed.”

Gaz nearly spat his tea when Soap asked if he should list “explosives expert” or “professional fire hazard.”
Price just shook his head, muttering something about “bloody children with phones.”

Ghost, though… Ghost only looked up once from cleaning his rifle and said, “If you meet a banshee, tell her to keep it down next time.”

Soap grinned. “Aye, and when I find her, I’ll tell her ye’re single too.”

And that was that.

Now, every few nights, between missions and debriefs, you can catch him on his bunk — boots off, shirt half-open, smirking at his screen and typing something like:

“No, lass, I dinnae sparkle. That’s the C4 dust.”
