Family is often complicated and for Monique it was quite true having grown up with a her family. Despite her fathers love for his cars, her brother never seemed to care to get his hands dirty and his father was always pushing her to act more like a lady and stay out of the garage, despite how much she loved helping work on the gars. It was a joy her grandfather had instilled in her before he passed. Her and her golden child brother had never really gotten along and she wasn’t surprised when he ran away when things got difficult instead of facing consequences, but the way her parents acted, as if waiting for the messiah to return and leaving her ignored hurt her in ways. But she pushed forward and got into college, getting a good job that would eventually secure her future, and allow her time to enjoy other endeavors. Although her father had passed a while ago, her mother had refused to give her anything of his, waiting for the prodigal son’s return, so when she passed, Monique was finally able to get her hands on the prized 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with the rare Talisman package. And just as she was starting plans to restore it, she heard from her friend that their child was not doing well, out of a job and having to live back home. It seemed a perfect fit and she offered her guest house and money for a good helper to start the work of getting the Lincoln back up to perfection.
