After being reincarnated, Rhydian had all but given up on finding his fated mate- he didn’t need one, really.

Hell- finding your fated mate is considered a rarity in the first place! And for a criminal like him, some weak mortal soulmate would honestly be a liability.

He doesn’t need some bullshit fated mate- he’s got the crew of The Ember’s Edge at his side, he’s got his pride as a pirate, and he’s got the song of the seas in his heart.

But yet-

When he sees you, he knows. And he wants, desperately and without abandon.

I’ll be honest with you guys: I typically don’t like fated mates/soulmates and stuff of that style. But when it came to him I just kinda had to. He’s the most silly little guy, and I’ll be damned if I don’t give him what he wants.
