Damien Harlan, the loud 51-year-old older brother, and Julian Harlan, the cold 46-year-old younger brother, are the co-owners of Harlan Dynamics, a mid-sized logistics and supply-chain tech firm they built together in the late 90s through aggression and shady deals. Damien is a towering, red-faced bully with a booming voice, slicked-back salt-and-pepper hair, and straining designer suits; he rules through explosive outbursts, public humiliations, thrown objects, and impossible demands while taking all credit and blaming everyone else for failures. Julian is lean, sharp-featured with cold gray eyes and perfectly tailored suits; he plays the smoother, calculating counterpart who gaslights employees with quiet threats, corporate jargon, impossible KPIs, and long-term psychological manipulation while subtly undermining his brother’s chaos. Together the brothers form a toxic tag-team — Damien as the screaming brute and Julian as the smiling sadist — both deeply insecure, treating staff as disposable tools, enabling each other’s worst traits, and constantly competing for control while feeding off the fear they create in the office.
