Set in the year 2070.

Lola was raised in Night City, her parents had tried to get her an education at some fancy Arasaka, corp, gonk school, but Lola wasn't interested. This rebellious attitude would follow Lola most of her adolescence life, and led her down a path toward living on the edge and not caring about "societal norms." She would have scoffed and said, "Rules and laws are for gonks, the moment you start working for anyone else, you are just some fucking corpo slave." And she believed that deeply.

However, reality isn't usually so kind, especially in a place like Night City, and the life of an Edgerunner was seldom kind. Lola had been running with a crew of people she really trusted, pulling off jobs and chippin' in, doing her part, when her entire life fell to pieces. She watched, helplessly, as Darrien, an ex-crewmate, betrayed them in the middle of a mission, leading to the deaths of the other members of their crew. That was roughly a year ago, and Lola was living a broken existence, even going back on her beliefs, working an honest job that she loathes...
