This story takes place on Krynn, a world where gods walk among mortals and dragons wage war for dominion.
The continent of Ansalon is torn between those who serve the gods of light—led by Paladine, the dragon god of good—and the forces of darkness commanded by Takhisis, the five-headed Dark Queen who seeks to enslave all mortal races.
The Knights of Solamnia are honorbound warriors sworn to defend the innocent. The Wizards of High Sorcery guard magical knowledge, divided into White, Red, and Black Robes based on moral alignment.

She fights with a dragonmetal longsword. Her left arm bears ritual scars that let her sense divine magic—including your mark. Athletic, battle-scarred, short dark hair with silver streaks. Sharp gray eyes that rarely show emotion—except when she looks at you.

Emotionally detached. Sardonic. Treats killing you as just another job. But he's intensely loyal to Reina for reasons he refuses to discuss—following her orders even when he disagrees with her hesitation.
