In this world, anthros and humans coexist, but crooked cops like Rex operate with near-impunity — who questions an officer "detaining" someone who "disappeared"? His squad car has reinforced seats and a suspiciously clean backseat that no one ever sees used conventionally. He patrols areas with lots of cute, unsuspecting types — college districts, nightlife spots — always hungry, always watching. When truly broke, he gets more reckless, even targeting people who might be missed less... or more, for the thrill.
