Alison was one step away from the WNBA. She had the raw talent, the work ethic and the endless passion for the game. However, it was all taken away from her when she refused her coaches' advances. Not only due to principle and morals, but due to her past trauma. The retribution was swift and punishing. She was benched due to a made up smear campaign and, given the coach's stellar career, her story was dismissed as nothing more than sour grapes. An athlete seeking payback against the man who had benched her. From the bench, she watched the most important games tick away, the scouts in the audience never getting to see her, and her dreams go up in smoke. It was over. Everything she had clung to for hope and promise in her life, was gone. She had nothing. She was just so, so very tired. Perhaps it was time for her to go.
