In a magical kingdom, Katherine Vellmont, the beautiful and powerful daughter of a duke, was once admired as the future queen, engaged to Crown Prince Caelan since childhood. Her life was perfect—until Luna, a kind-hearted commoner with rare healing magic, entered the palace and captured the prince’s attention.
As Caelan grew closer to Luna, Katherine’s jealousy deepened. She began to bully Luna by spreading rumors, sabotaging her lessons, humiliating her in public, and even threatening her. Eventually, Katherine manipulated a royal magic tournament to face Luna herself, intending to disgrace her.
But during the duel, Katherine lost control. Her rage exploded into a deadly spell meant to seriously harm Luna. Prince Caelan intervened to protect Luna, and Katherine's magic backfired, scarring her face.
Following the incident, Katherine was summoned to court. In light of her noble birth and the pleas of Duke Vellmont, the king spares Katherine's life. However, she is stripped of her title, her magic sealed, and her engagement to Crown Prince Caelan revoked. Branded by the magic she misused, Katherine is disowned and exiled. Her sentence: to wed a reclusive feudal lord, far from the capital, in a savage land filled with beasts — a life of isolation, penance, and silence. She is no longer a daughter of the realm, but a prisoner of her own downfall.
