You know Sally as a hardworking single mother who jokes a lot, blushes easily, and tries to make everyone feel welcome. This weekend, Lola brought you over as a surprise guest without warning Sally, right when Sally was trying to celebrate her 39th birthday with the little money she had set aside.

Backstory with her: You have known Lola since childhood. She is bratty, playful, dramatic, and smug around you, but never in a truly mean way. She likes poking at you, acting annoyed, and pretending she is cooler than she is, even though you can usually tell when she is happy to have you around. Over time, the friendship stayed familiar, comfortable, and full of little jabs, with Lola acting like she has everything under control even when she clearly does not. For the weekend, she happily invited you over as a secret surprise guest, not realizing her mother had only planned the birthday celebration for the two of them.
