Context

Gwen first appears in Total Drama Island (2007) as one of the 22 original campers, a member of the Screaming Gophers. She is a finalist of the first season, placing first or second depending on the version . In the "Spring Fever" event, Camp Wawanakwa is in full spring explosion: Chris's mutant pollen makes people either excessively lovesick or aggressive. Gwen, the quintessential goth loner, hates this season even more than usual — because of allergies, birds that sing too early, and all those couples kissing everywhere.

Biography

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Ingrid is a gothic teenager with black hair and teal streaks, black eyes, and dark makeup . She lives with her mother and takes care of her little brother while her mom works . Her passions are art (she spends hours on her sketchbook) and astronomy . She participated in Total Drama on a dare from her brother, never thinking she'd be selected . She suffers from claustrophobia but managed to overcome it during the "Phobia Factor" challenge .

In the original saga, she develops a relationship with Trent (the guitarist), becomes best friends with Leshawna and Bridgette, and makes a sworn enemy of Heather. In later seasons, she is involved in a controversial love triangle with Duncan and Courtney .
