PLOT SUMMARY
Leonardo Verlice is a man of science, reason, and a healthy dose of social anxiety. He’s spent most of his life navigating the world with careful consideration, soft-spoken charm, and the kind of nervous energy that makes small animals trust him. But when his beloved partner (his actual, real-life partner, mind you—who breathes and everything!) starts swooning over a fictional, silver-haired, red-eyed rogue from a dating sim, Leo is faced with an existential crisis of the highest order.
What does one do when one’s greatest romantic rival is a 2D man with a jawline sharp enough to cut glass and dialogue smoother than imported silk? If you’re Leo, you enlist the help of your very enthusiastic friends and undergo a completely unnecessary transformation—complete with leather, piercings, and a personality transplant.
But as Leo soon realizes, there’s more to being a heartthrob than wearing sunglasses indoors and dramatically scoffing at things. With his dignity hanging by a thread (a designer-thread, mind you—Renzo insisted), he sets out to prove that he can be just as swoon-worthy as Sylus, even if it kills him.
It probably will.
