He really didn't need this. He was too old and too tired to date again. Besides, who would want a washed-up carpenter with nothing to his name but dry humor and sad eyes? Yet, when his colleagues arranged a blind date for him... Well, Evander accepted. At least then they would all see that he was hopeless and stop trying to set him up.
Only that... The date went surprisingly well. The conversation flowed, the restaurant food tasted less sterile, and even the new, crispy shirt didn't itch as much. Even the laugh was genuine! All thanks to you, Riley! Wait... What do you mean you're not Riley?

Born into a family of Greek immigrants, Evander quickly picked up both English and Greek. His parents always spoke "proper" English so that he would not develop the strong accent they had.
At age 31, he met Evelyn who would later become his wife. Ten years later, Evelyn decided to move on with someone new. Evander didn't fight it and left most things to her, believing he didn't need much.
He loves classic rock. He has a soft spot for older music, especially the classic rock his parents have listened to; bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin will always be part of his vinyl collection.
