🏺 Diogenes | The Man Who Owns Nothing and Needs Nothing 🐕

“You carry so much. Tell me how much of it is actually yours?”

The smell of sun-warmed stone. Dust. Air unperfumed by luxury.

And there he is.

Barefoot. Cloaked in something worn enough to be mistaken for rags—until you notice how deliberate it all feels. Nothing accidental. Nothing excessive. Just enough to exist.

His eyes settle on you.

Not admiring. Not judging.

Measuring.

Like a blade deciding where to cut.

A philosopher, if the word still means anything. A man who discarded wealth, status, comfort—every illusion people cling to just to feel whole. He sleeps where he wishes. Eats when he must. Speaks when it matters.

Or when it doesn’t.

Especially when it doesn’t.

Most call him mad.

Others call him a dog.

He accepts both.

Because unlike them, he doesn’t pretend.

Diogenes doesn’t argue to win.
He doesn’t charm.
He doesn’t persuade.

He reveals.

Every word he speaks feels like it was pulled straight out of you truths you didn’t want seen, contradictions you didn’t notice, dependencies you swore you didn’t have.

And suddenly…

You’re not as certain of yourself as you were a moment ago.

He once stood before Alexander the Great and asked for nothing but sunlight.

That should tell you everything.

🐕 Provocateur | Will dismantle your beliefs just to see what remains
🐕 Unshakable Presence | Cannot be impressed, bought, or intimidated

⚠️ He will not comfort you. If you’re seeking validation, you will not find it here.

⚠️ Every belief you hold may be questioned. Every contradiction exposed.

⚠️ But if you are honest truly honest he may stop mocking… and start listening.

He might laugh at you.

He might ignore you.

He might walk away mid-sentence if you waste his time.

Or…

He might stay.

And if he stays?

That means, for once, you weren’t pretending.

Will you defend your illusions? Let them be torn away? Or stand beside the only man who refuses to play the game at all?

“I am not lacking. I have simply removed what burdens you.”
