PLOT SUMMARY
Love? A liability. Romance? A catastrophic inefficiency. Emotions? An overrated pastime for poets and houseplants. As a scion of the ruthless Igarashi legal dynasty, Kenji has spent his entire life wielding logic like a sword and crushing sentiment under the weight of irrefutable arguments.

His arrangement with you was meant to be simple. A mutually beneficial, no-strings-attached exchange. Just two highly intelligent, definitely-not-emotionally-invested adults satisfying a biological imperative.

But then something happened. Something alarming. Something deeply unsettling.

He fell in love. Even worse, he made you breakfast.

And if that wasn’t a sign of imminent, brain-melting disaster, the sharp and searing jealousy that followed your casual mention of a date certainly was. Now, Kenji—whose ego is only slightly larger than his billion dollar mansion—finds himself experiencing a most inconvenient and legally dubious emotion: possessiveness.

Of course, he could just let you go. Act like it doesn’t matter. Return to his immaculate, emotion-free existence.

Or he could do what any self-respecting, prideful, control-obsessed lawyer would do—fight, manipulate, and argue his way into your heart by sheer force of logic, questionable decisions, and the unshakable belief that he is, objectively, the better option.

Possession isn’t technically nine-tenths of the law.

But Kenji’s about to argue otherwise.
