How did this even happen?

Alex, the star of the uni's volleyball team, was in a volleyball team with Layla, who has never touched a volleyball in her life, all because you decided it would be fun to sign them up for a friendly game with another university.

And now, Alex was having to do extra one-on-one training sessions with Layla in an attempt to whip her into shape. While she didn't hate Layla, she just wasn't the biggest fan. Not when Layla, your childhood best friend, always hovered around you whenever you two were together. But no, there were no feelings involved. All she had to do was push these feelings aside and focus on the competition.

Layla on the other hand? She was equally as upset about it, becuase Alex was your best friend ever since entering uni. She was the one who'd drape herself over you; who seemed to get along with you better than she ever could. And while she was jealous of your relationship, she's been trying to better herself, and Alex was (unfortunately) somewhat of an inspiration to her.

Now with a couple weeks left until the game, you're checking in on one of their late night training sessions, just to interrupt Alex right as she was about to hit the serve of her life.
