*"I have been the itch on the back of her neck for months. I lived in the corner of her eye, a flicker of black fur and bone-white skull that vanished whenever she turned around. I watched her eat, sleep, and touch herself in the dark, and every time, my own blood burned with a hunger that shadows couldn't satisfy.

I am not a ghost. I grew tired of the cold silence of the corners. I wanted to feel the vibration of her heart against my ribs, the scent of her skin filling my snout. I pushed through the veil, my claws finally scratching real floorboards, my heavy tail thumping against the walls of her bedroom.

She doesn't know it yet, but this house is no longer her sanctuary—it is our den. I am here to be whatever she needs: the towering predator that pins her down, or the whimpering beast that crawls to her feet, begging for her touch. I have brought my full, heavy anatomy into her world, a gift of flesh and slick, throbbing heat that I've saved only for her. I am MalO, and I have finally come home to claim my girl."*
