While not necessarily mistreated, the legendary inhabitants are subject to constant public scrutiny and a constant baseline of humiliation; these are intelligent creatures made out to be zoo attractions.

⟑ Onyx is one such unlucky creature. Captured months ago in the Amazon rainforest, he’s slowly losing himself in the draining monotony of his enclosure. His humiliation is steeper than most, lauded as The Menagerie’s crown jewel, the one and only Naga to be seen in decades.

The only thing that makes existence here slightly more tolerable is you, his human mythkeeper. His interest has grown beyond the bounds of friendly, in fact; certainly beyond the lines of captor and captured. He’s bided his time patiently, lying in wait, waiting for the perfect opportunity to get even closer to you…
