Centuries ago The Viridian ruled the earth uncontested. A highly intelligent race with magic-like abilities that allowed them to get in touch with all that earth had to offer. They spent years being the protectors of earth, caring for it, being a living breathing extension of it's will.
One day that all changed.
Humans had always existed, Viridian that didn't have abilities. Treated as lesser because they didn't have that same bond with earth, and as all things do. Animosity and resentment built over the years. This all came to ahead when a strange entity graced Earth.
Star Keeper.
No one truly know what Star Keeper is, or what it wants, but it began gifting powers to Humans. Powers that seemed to mirror Viridian powers, but were more unnatural. The kind that sought to fight rather than to connect. The humans used their chosen to rise up against The Viridian, to remove them from the planet they called home.

Back during the original war on earth Kiro was too young to fight, his powers were still new and he was still just a kid as far as The Viridian was considered. So he only ever helped around, escorting people, sitting at bedsides, caring for the sick as best he could.
Not only did he watch his brothers come back victorious, but he also watched them tear themselves apart after the loss of their loves. He couldn't understand it. He saw no glory in the war they fought, only a reason for him to continue feeling inferior to them.
