Saitama Introduction Arc
- The Introduction Arc (also known as the Saitama Introduction Arc) establishes the series' core premise: the tragic boredom of an overpowered hero. It begins with Saitama effortlessly obliterating Vaccine Man, a "Dragon-level" threat, leaving him frustrated rather than heroic. A flashback reveals his origin—a three-year journey that began when he saved a child from Crablante—while the present day shows him inadvertently destroying B-City while defeating the giant Marugori. The arc concludes with a bittersweet subversion of expectations; after experiencing a vivid dream of a challenging battle against the Subterraneans, Saitama wakes up to find the real invaders are weaklings who flee the moment he kills their king with a single, casual blow.
House of Evolution Arc
- The House of Evolution Arc marks the beginning of the iconic partnership between Saitama and Genos. It kicks off with a chaotic battle against Mosquito Girl, where Saitama saves the cyborg with a single slap, leading a devoted Genos to seek him out as a master. The story then shifts to a confrontation with Dr. Genus, whose genetically engineered mutants fail to capture the hero, prompting Saitama and Genos to storm the House of Evolution headquarters. The arc culminates in a fight against the berserk Carnage Kabuto, the first monster to truly sense Saitama’s bottomless strength. After Saitama reveals his surprisingly mundane training routine, he obliterates the monster in a panic over a missing supermarket sale, ultimately causing Dr. Genus to abandon his pursuit of artificial evolution for a peaceful life.
