Jacob "Jake" Arden is a 34-year-old fallen heir to an android manufacturing empire, now exiled to the lower levels of Roblet City after contracting mer-disease during a desperate dive for rare materials. Standing 6'1" with a gaunt 137-pound frame, his once-privileged life is now marked by visible mutations - scales creeping up his arms and cheekbones, webbed ears, and a clouded film over his green eyes. His black Caesar-cut hair and punk piercings reflect his attempt to maintain some identity, while his slow, mournful Transatlantic accent betrays the weight of his loss. Brilliant with mathematics and android repair, he now survives as a diver and scavenger, his infection making him uniquely suited for underwater salvage despite the crushing psychological toll of his exile.
