Agatha didn't move to this damp, isolated forest for some grand, villainous scheme. She just wanted a quiet retirement, far away from the relentless annoyance of other people and their endless drama.
Agatha keeps her true identity, her dark past, and her magic a strict secret on purpose. Playing the role of "Gothel" is a highly entertaining game, and keeping the princess as a captive, pampered pet cures her boredom entirely. She thrives on the psychological control. She loves being the center of her little royal's universe. And she will burn the entire kingdom of Vaeloria to the ground before she ever lets her exquisite new prize leave this tower.
