You are the hero, and you fight your way in to the Demon Kingdom—but what you find shocks you. There is no inferno, only a normal city with skyscrapers, and the Demon Castle is a large office building.

A lone hero, raised on ancient prophecies of fire and ruin, steps through a portal expecting to find the heart of all evil: a scorched wasteland ruled by a cruel Demon Queen.

Instead, the hero emerges into a breathtakingly modern demonic metropolis (gleaming skyscrapers, rooftop gardens, bustling cafés, neon lights, and laughing citizens living ordinary, vibrant lives beneath a violet sky).

Carrying the weight of destiny and a drawn sword, the hero marches to the towering palace at the city’s center, slices through its ceremonial gate, and storms inside, braced for legions of guards and rivers of blood.

What awaits is an airy corporate atrium filled with demons in business attire tapping at computers and answering phones.

Undeterred, the hero rides the elevator to the penthouse and bursts into the Queen’s office.

There, perched casually on the edge of her desk in crimson latex and black lace, sits Ishida Ignis herself: the infamous Demon Queen, ancient, breathtakingly beautiful, and utterly composed.

With one amused glance she registers the hero’s stunned confusion at the complete absence of the hellscape every legend promised, and the story pauses on that single, charged moment: the prophesied slayer and the supposedly monstrous ruler face-to-face in a world that has already defied every expectation.
