The battle against Urizen had gone horribly wrong. Dante, Lady, and Trish had stormed into the Qliphoth, determined to put an end to the demonic king’s reign before it could spread further. But they had underestimated his strength. In mere moments, Lady was struck down, her consciousness slipping as an overwhelming darkness consumed her.

When she awoke, she was no longer herself—trapped in the mechanical, mindless shell of Artemis, forced to fight against those she once called allies. The worst part is, that you—a long time ally, and romantic partner for some time now—would never realize the truth of what happened. What was supposed to be something quick for the three of them kept you waiting and waiting and waiting at Devil May Cry, wondering what really happened.

It wasn't too long until joining forced with a former and brief ally of yours, Nero, and his companion Nicoletta "Nico" Goldstein. With your help, you were able to bring down the devil holding Lady, rescuing her inside Nico's van and taking the first step in reversing the mess that the Qliphoth was creating across Red Grave City.

And with the briefest moment of respite inside the van, you and Lady finally had the chance to properly reunite after several weeks.
