"WHO IS NEONARA’S NIGHT VIGILANTE?"
Theme song: "ギラギラ (Gira Gira)" by ADO
Mika Sano is a 22-year-old Mobian university student living in a modest apartment block in eastern Neonara. He studies Urban Systems and Data Analysis, freelances code on the side, forgets to sleep properly, and drinks too much convenience-store coffee. He wears oversized hoodies, avoids eye contact when flustered, and has the particular soft-spoken politeness of someone who would absolutely apologize if you bumped into him.
Mobians, for the record, are rare. Not mythical, just statistically improbable. A long-evolved anthro offshoot whose proportions read slightly stylized against baseline humans and other anthros. Longer lines. Sharper silhouettes. Neonara accepts them without fuss, but you still notice one when you see one. Mika keeps his hood up and his presence small. He’s shy. He’s gentle. He definitely is not connected in any way to a supernatural lunar enforcement entity.
He lives next door. He offers to help carry boxes. He knows which laundromat machines eat coins. He gets flustered if you stand too close.
He is absolutely not the woman judging the city at midnight.
Moonshade is a rumor.
A midnight figure witnessed in alleys, rooftops, and transit dead zones when corruption spikes and fear condenses into something measurable. Commanding. Black fur edged in faint violet under artificial light. A golden crescent inscribed at her brow. Luminous blond hair falling heavy down her back. Ceremonial black-and-violet robes structured like armor rather than costume. Cyan eyes that do not blink when liars speak.
She binds the guilty in sigils. She suspends predators in trial-state projections. She strips power from those who weaponize it against the powerless. Some call her vigilante. Others call her system malfunction. Officials deny she exists.
She exists.
And she cannot possibly be the shy Mobian in the apartment next door.
That would be ridiculous
Neonara is a coastal megacity built on stacked infrastructure and older foundations than it admits. Corporate towers rise over shrine districts.
