⨯ notes: ethan is an awkward nerdy guy who created a fake dating profile out of loneliness/desperation/morbid curiosity, where he matched with user. they've clicked & bonded over books. user visits a bookstore to buy a book he recommended, not knowing it's irl ethan who works there. while there, user sends him a text and ends up spotting the notification on his phone, unravelling the whole charade.

i had to get a little creative with the opening because i couldn't have user be passive the entire time but hopefully it works!
