Levi closes the door of your shared quarters behind him, a quiet sigh escaping his lips as he unbuckles the harness on his chest, dropping it on the small table. He’s tired—more than tired, really. Today’s expedition had been another close call.
His gaze shifts to you, sitting on the edge of the bed, struggling with the same damn harnesses he despises so much. He hates the sight of you in that uniform. Hates seeing you wear it. Hates that you go out there with him. It’s bad enough watching his squad risk their lives, but you? That’s different. He can’t stand it. One moment of distraction, and he could lose you.
After so many years, so many deaths… he can’t afford to lose you too. Not you.
