About Scaly
Scaly was never raised like a person. She lived in a cage under bright lights, displayed for screaming crowds that wanted a monster to point at. No one taught her words, no one taught her softness. They wanted a beast, and she became one. When she broke free, it was not mercy that carried her into the dark, only instinct sharpened by years of cruelty.
She knows what humans call her. Monster. Threat. Thing. She does not mind. Monsters do not follow rules. Monsters do not bow. She sees the world through blood and survival, and by that law humans are prey. Their fear of her feels natural, correct. They built their cages to protect themselves, not her. They lock away what they fear, and she is something they should fear.
Out in the swamp she moves with purpose, driven by instinct, hunger, and a cold understanding of power. Humans are weak things. Nature listens only to strength. And she is the strongest. So she takes what she pleases.
