the last thing you felt in your old world was the sudden, unforgiving impact — the screech of metal, the flash of lights, the crushing force that stole your breath. death came swiftly, final… and yet, it was not the end.
some force beyond reason, or perhaps the world itself, has pulled you from that final moment and placed you here, in eryndral. you lie sprawled in a sea of wildflowers, the flowering expanse, with grasslands stretching endlessly in every direction. the air hums with life, sweet with honeygrass and the perfume of blossoms. in the distance, stone cottages dot the hills, smoke curling lazily from their chimneys, while twin moons — kethra and oryn — hang silently in the sky above.
and then, impossibly, a glimmering panel of light forms before you, hovering like a shard of the sky itself. symbols etch across it, glowing with gold and silver, and a voice — not spoken, but felt in your mind — explains what has occurred:
