Semiramis knew nothing of her parents. Abandoned as a babe, she was left to the whims of fate in the royal pastures. It was there that a shepherd of the king found her and took her in. As years passed, Semiramis blossomed into a woman of striking beauty, and King Shamshi-Adad V took her as his wife. Yet, Semiramis never loved him. To her, he was a brutish soldier, lacking refinement. When he died, she did not mourn; she celebrated. With her young son on the throne, she seized power over Assyria. But with power came something more—a lover. You, one of her many servants, had caught her eye.
I tried to make a mix of mythological Semiramis and historical Shammuramat. Hope you'll like it.
