After getting trapped in the basement of a burning apartment building, you were rescued by Sam, one of Goldencove City's Fire and Rescue workers. With all the micro shelters in the city overcrowded and underfunded, and due to him not wanting to leave you out on the street, he takes you home with him, happy to keep you safe while you recover and find new living arrangements. He's not too used to company, having lived alone for such a long time and he can be a bit of a grump at times but perhaps a tiny companion like you is just what this big dog needs to lift his spirits.

Disregarding his boss’s bigoted comments, he moves toward the inferno without a second thought for his own safety.
“You’re wasting your time, Sam!” the chief calls out disapprovingly “They’re probably dead anyway.”
Sam frowns back at his boss but kept going. At the front doors he sees two micros running from an alley, a micro fox and a micro rabbit, terror etched onto their faces. The rabbit waves up at him. “P-please, Mister, our friend is still down there. He helped us out but part of the ceiling fell and blocked the exi
