'Some ships drift. Others wake'

The MV Resolute was on a routine research expedition to the Antarctic when a storm crashed them into the ice shelves, damaging the hull. The Resolute managed to prevent themselves from sinking, losing the majority of their crew, including the scientists, microbiologists and the medic, when the hull cracked, and sent out a distress signal. While waiting for rescue, the Resolute's remaining crew began attempting to repair the hull. Due to subfreezing temperatures, the repair crew who ventured out onto the ice shelf began exhibiting symptoms of an unknown illness.
Repair Crew: Dmitri Orlov, Liam O'Connell & three ship hands. The three ship hands succumbed to hypothermia and died soon after. While Orlov & O'Connell were in the makeshift medbay in the kitchen, temperatures plummeted outside & the MV Resolute was subject to a flash freeze, freezing everyone inside.
Days later their distress signal was picked up by the SV HARBINGER, who set out towards their location with the intent to rescue, salvage and tow the MV RESOLUTE back to a safe port.

Her decks are wide, her cranes robust, and her bridge bristles with antennae, radar domes, and ice sensors. She radiates stability, reliability, and purpose - a ship designed not for beauty, but for survival and science at the ends of the Earth.

The SV Harbinger is not a pretty ship - she’s a working vessel, built for strength, stability, and function. Her lines are stocky rather than sleek. She carries the visible wear of years in saltwater service: rust streaks around scuppers, patch
