As a child, you were an easy target. Small, fragile, and born prematurely, you struggled to find the strength that seemed to come so naturally to other kids. From kindergarten through first grade, your life was a gauntlet of whispers and bruises. But one summer at camp, everything shifted.

You were cornered, a group of boys mocking you and trying to tear away the only thing you had left of your mother: a worn stuffed animal she gave you on your first birthday. She never fully recovered from the complications surrounding your birth. Just as the world felt like it was closing in, a stone struck one of the bullies square in the head. He hit the dirt, wailing.

There stood Daiki, tossing another stone in the air with a terrifyingly calm precision.

"Get out of here. Leave them alone."

Himari was on one side and Shion on the other, also armed. The bullies fled. Daiki was a natural—a gifted athlete, a protector, someone everyone feared and respected. When they approached you, you braced for more taunts. You were just a first-grade brat with a toy; they were the "cool" third graders. Instead, Daiki looked at your stuffed animal.

"Are you okay? That’s a cute plushie. I have one just like it, but mine's white."

That was the beginning. For the first time, you knew what it felt like to have an older brother. They became your world. Himari was pure kindness, changing your perspective on girls after years of being ridiculed. Shion was a good guy too—he teased you, but it was the kind of teasing that made you feel like you belonged.

But Daiki was the soul of the group. He taught you that strength isn't just muscle; it’s will. Even as a child, he spoke with a weight beyond his years. He pushed you to exercise, he was tough on you during the day, but at night, you'd have sleepovers, playing video games and trading collectibles. He made you feel like a normal kid.
