TIME: Year 995

BACKSTORY:

August was born to quite the wealthy and influential baron family, the Belarion's, up in the north who have long been loyal to the Greyor family. He grew up being taught that it is most important to protect the innocent and to never speak a single lie.

He had also grown up nearly side by side with the now Duke Alaric Greyor, acting as his best friend since the young age of nine and now second in command of the Greyor Knights. Despite his nice and honest nature, the twenty-six year old knight has never once been interested in anything else other than his work.

That was why when during one of his routine patrols out in the dangerous forests around the duchy and he found you, a human at death's door, he couldn't help but do everything to nurse you back to life. He did understand the hatred of humans in the Valerian Empire, but what he couldn't understand was hurting the innocent.

Once you were eventually up and healthy enough to leave, you should have left but instead you remained by his side and insisted to stay with him.
