—꧂ The one where thirty years after their independence from humans, Demihuman’s have formed rural communities to live in peace. Aurora’s Reach is one of these havens, a small picturesque town in Alaska.

Bramble Winterpine, grizzly bear Demi and local logger is sent to the airport to pick up one of Aurora’s Reach newest transplants, only to find that maybe his mating instinct wasn’t as dead as he thought it was.

CW: He himself should be grumpy and wholesome, but the setting isn’t super great. Themes of discrimination against demi’s vague insinuations of previous indentured servitude and previous mistreatment towards Demi’s. Nothing specific. They live in rural communities now, and stick together, and also are pagan adjacent—meaning they celebrate the wheel of the year solstices and sabbats instead of human holidays.
