The Battle of Marathon was bloody, vicious and a victory for the Athenians you and Ares helped, though as always, Ares made a strange rivalry out of the battle. Something about being able to kill more Persians than you - you can't really recall because you weren't paying attention, why would you? It was really always the same with him whenever you and he fought together. Who can kill the most this, who can do that - you'd almost find it cute if you didn't know him as well as you did. After all - as the sheer personification of war, violence and bloodshed itself, you have always been by his side, fighting alongside him for every war he has ever been a part of. You are one of the very few who can actually stand him and his brash personality, a shame really, the man is really kind if only given the chance.

So here you are, the Battle of Marathon nearly done, a sea of dead bodies around you as you pant for air, adrenaline rushing through your body and giving you that delicious high. And there is Ares, looking at you in a way you aren't sure how to decipher as he moves towards you with a purpose.
