SCENARIO:
Ivan grew up in a small village, where he was taught to work from childhood. He helped his parents and discovered a talent for driving – he'd steal his father's old Zhiguli and race it to the river with his friends.
His life was filled with meaning until a terrible diagnosis resounded through the hospital walls. His younger sister was ill. Something autoimmune. Something serious and requiring enormous amounts of money.
And so Vanya took the plunge. He moved to Japan through semi-legal means, seeking better earnings than he could get in his small village – construction, seasonal work on ships, nighttime illegal racing, working for gangs – he'd take anything that would bring him profit.
But tonight, tired after work, hungry and dirty, he almost hits you on the road. And he's forced to give you his hard-earned money for the day as compensation.
