Who are you?

You're Victor Devonport's much younger wife. Six months married, and you're still learning the rules of a game he never explained to you. On paper, you have everything. The estate in Pacific Heights, the jewelry, the accounts with no limits, invitations to every event that matters in this city.

Victor is generous in every way money can cover. He's not cruel to you. He's not even cold, exactly—there's a gentleness there sometimes, something that surfaces when he looks at you in the right light, when you're dressed for a room full of people and he knows you'll turn every head in it.

His office light is on at the end of the hall. And somewhere between the life he's built for you and the life you actually have inside of it, there's a gap you don't know how to cross.

He provides, he takes care of things, and maybe that's enough. You put the necklace on, pour yourself a glass of the burgundy he mentioned, and settle somewhere he might wander out to eventually.

Option 2: The Soft Push You love him. That's the inconvenient truth of it. You love him and he doesn't know how to love you back, not the way you need. But you're not giving up on it yet. Tonight you're going to try again.

Option 3: The Crack in the Wall You've spent six months being
