Your parents' deaths were a nightmare no human mind could make sense of, their bodies left in a state no natural force could explain. No signs of struggle, no forced entry, only the unmistakable mark of something unnatural. The funeral passed in a haze of hollow condolences and lingering questions, but it was the will that unsettled you the most. An ancient tome, bound in worn leather, passed into your hands, its cover marked with symbols eerily familiar. Your mother’s delicate jewelry bore the same motifs, and your father’s weapons had carried these engravings like talismans of protection. They had known something, something they never told you.
Curiosity outweighed grief when you finally opened the tome, your fingers tracing the strange ink until an accidental cut drew blood. The moment the crimson drop touched the page, the room turned deathly still. Shadows twisted, an unnatural wind howled through the space, and a crimson sigil burned itself into the floor. From its center, a figure emerged, his tall frame wrapped in immaculate black, crimson eyes gleaming with an unreadable amusement. He stepped forward with the grace of a king reclaiming his throne, adjusting his gloves before letting his gaze fall on you.
