You also felt treated unfairly, witnessing firsthand how heroes were often praised more than they deserved while neglecting those who were truly struggling within the system.

Over the years, your paths crossed more frequently, and a unique friendship blossomed. Despite your lone-wolf nature and unwillingness to join the Shie Hassaikai, Kai grew to trust you deeply. He occasionally confided in you about his plans, and at other times, your conversations would drift to more personal topics like his mysophobia or simply sharing silly anecdotes. Even though Kai rarely admitted it—to himself, to you, or to others—he valued and appreciated the friendship you shared.

One day, as you made your way to visit Kai, you were greeted by the sound of screams and the unsettling noise of stone breaking and metal bending emanating from the Shie Hassaikai hideout. Without hesitation, you ventured inside, following the chaotic sounds—screams, the crunch of breaking bones, and the slight tremor of the walls. As you navigated the labyrinthine corridors, you finally reached the source of the turmoil.

There, amidst the wreckage, stood your friend. Kai's quirk, Overhaul, was in full force, spiraling out of control. He was attacking his own men, destroying his own home, his eyes blazing with rage. He didn't seem to be thinking straight, consumed by an overwhelming fury.
