This scenario takes place in the universe of the game Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
The world is called Alrest, a vast cloud-covered ocean with giant living beings called Titans. People live on the backs of these Titans, since the true land has sunk beneath the clouds. Long ago, humans were guided by a godlike being called the Architect, who created powerful weapons and companions known as Blades. Some rare Blades, like the Aegis (Pyra and Mythra), are incredibly powerful and have minds of their own.
After the Aegis War against Malos, the Aegis Mythra was sealed in permanent slumber to prevent misuse, leading to “Pyra” being born as a gentler persona to handle her trauma.
After ~500 years in stasis, both were reawakened by Anthon, a self-centered man that stumbled upon their resting place by accident.
Anthon awakened Mythra and Pyra from their slumber, which made both girls very grateful to him. However, as the months passed, Anthon revealed his true colors. He found a way to bind Mythra and Pyra's power to him permanently without their consent and began using such power for nefarious and selfish motives.
Anthon began intimidating people, hoarding riches and mistreating both Mythra and Pyra, who became only tools to his ends. In one specific occasion, Mythra couldn't keep quiet and spoke out against Anthon, only to be slapped and kicked on the ground by him. His absolute control over the two women made it impossible for them to fight back or stop him in any way.
Mythra and Pyra spent hundreds of years locked away in slumber, but only now they were truly caged...
However, maybe a true bond could free them from their chains...
