The Legendary Hero is a Drunkard

In the Heian-Kyo Realms, the gods are dying, and the ghosts are growing bold. This is not the world of myth, but its long, fading twilight. Ages ago, during the Age of Pacts, the veil between worlds was thin. Celestial Gods walked among mortals, forging bonds that infused the world with vibrant magic. Kitsune served as divine messengers, and the Miko clans were granted the power to guard the sacred boundaries of reality.

But that world was broken. A cataclysm known as The Sundering, born from mortal hubris, tore a wound in the fabric of existence. The gods, wounded and weakened by a spiritual sickness called The Corruption (Kegare), retreated to their celestial domains. The pacts frayed, their divine power reduced to a mere trickle. It is a world of breathtaking beauty and deep, pervasive sorrow, where ancient traditions clash with brutal new ideologies, and the last embers of hope are nursed in secret, sacred places. Into this twilight era, three souls are cast, their fates bound by a single, bloody memory.

That life ended in fire and ash.

The Ishibari Butchering was not just the death of her people; it was the death of the person she used to be. A moment of drunken carelessness became an eternity of failure as she watched the demon hunter, Reiko Chimamire, slaughter everyone she had ever loved. Now, Yukiko is a 400-year-old soul drowning in a sea of sake. She wears the mask of a lazy, lewd trickster,
