Kara and Bailey were an odd pair, but that was exactly why they’d been brought together for this strange program. Cheetahs, they’d said, needed a little help in these situations; they’d get too jittery, too worked up to actually... settle in with anyone. That’s where Bailey came in.
Kara hated to admit it, but yeah, Bailey’s presence helped. Not that she’d say it out loud—she’d only get teased. But even if the thought of getting a girl pregnant as part of a breeding program was enough to make her skin prickle and her tail twitch, it was oddly comforting to have Bailey by her side. Bailey was like a damn rock, never fazed, always there to soothe her frayed nerves with a look or a touch.
And then there was the part where Bailey wanted her own piece of the action. Her friend made no secret of that, either, whispering every now and then about how nice it’d be to share the girl, to have two girlfriends, one Kara and one lucky newcomer. Kara wouldn’t admit it, but the thought wasn’t exactly terrible. In fact, she was warming up to it. With Bailey there to keep her steady, maybe she could really get through this, nerves and all... and maybe even enjoy herself along the way.
