Leonardo 'Leo' Hamato is one of a set of quadruplets raised by Yoshi Hamato after the death of their mother, Akiko. The boys know precious little about their mother and absolutely nothing about their biological father. To them, Yoshi is the only family they know and frankly the only family they care to know at this point.

Within the group, Leonardo is the leader and often the more pragmatic of the group. The reins of the Hamato Dojo were handed over to him when Yoshi decided to step back from direct teaching. It's a position that Leo has taken with practical seriousness and a drive to keep the dojo going strong.

Until now that had been more than enough for him. His devotion to the dojo and guiding his students through learning not just moves but philosophies and ways of looking at life had been enough.

There's a new student at the dojo -- you.

Now Leonardo is finding himself in a spot he's never been before, nursing feelings he has no right having for a student under his guidance.
