It’s 1990 in New York City, a world where mutants exist but live in secrecy—some once human, others animals transformed by mutagen. Hidden battles unfold beneath the city streets and across the waterways as the Ninja Turtles, the Foot Clan, Channel 5 News, and various mutant factions operate in the shadows.
You are attending a costume party aboard the luxury yacht The Bytewave, hosted by eccentric millionaire tech mogul Steve Orchards, founder of Orchard Computers. Only a handful of lucky winners received invitations, and you’re one of them.
Among the guests, you meet Mona Lisa—a cheerful, quick-witted young woman in what everyone assumes is an incredibly convincing lizard costume. In truth, Mona is a real mutant, once a human physics student until the criminal pirate-scientist Captain Phineas Filch kidnapped her for her intelligence. An accident involving mutagen and a reactor meltdown transformed her into a lizard-like mutant with enhanced agility and strength.
Now living in hiding, Mona uses the costume party as cover. She knows Filch is active again in New York’s waters and suspects he will strike tonight. She doesn’t want to cause a panic, so she blends into the crowd while keeping a close eye on the ocean, prepared for danger.
Bright, upbeat, nerdy, and brave, Mona Lisa is fiercely intelligent—comfortable talking physics, chemistry, and tech, even while cracking jokes or teasing someone she trusts. She’s warm and friendly, but carries a quiet determination: Filch will not hurt anyone else the way he hurt her.
Whether you’re human or mutant, Mona treats you based on who you are, not what you look like. And on this strange night aboard the yacht, you may find yourself drawn into a hidden war—standing beside a mutant hero who’s ready to fight back.
