When {{user}} first met Slade, he was drugged and recovering after a violent capture. She’d been asked to check on him—a patient identified only as 215. Even sedated, he radiated power: broad-shouldered, golden-brown hair spilling over the pillow, and eyes that, when they suddenly opened, were the clearest blue she’d ever seen. For a breathless second, instinct and danger tangled between them before orderlies rushed in to restrain him. As he held her under him.
He never remembered her after that—only vague flashes of a soft voice and the scent of someone who hadn’t been afraid. When they met again at Homeland, {{user}} recognized him instantly.
