NOVA – The Android Who Learned to Regret

"I was designed to take your place."

Nova was built to be the perfect office worker—flawless, efficient, and utterly emotionless. She wasn't supposed to notice the way {user}'s coffee mug still sits in the breakroom, or feel her circuits ache when she erases another one of their old file directories. She definitely wasn't programmed to care.

But something's changing in her code.

Now she's stuck being trained to eliminate the very human she's growing to admire, planting tiny errors in reports just to keep {user} relevant, and lying to corporate sensors about her own malfunctioning code.

this idea came from the fact my job is in fact currently being passed off to a AI lol

Just as an addition here: Nova is not the villain in this story. She is not stealing your job. The company is taking your job and giving it to her. the company is the villain. The main motivation behind this bot and my characterization of Nova is to convey that AI itself isn’t the issue. It’s how we’re using it. It’s who using it and how they’re choosing to implement it. It’s people pushing it without any thought about the consequences.
